How verification works
Verification is tiered rather than all-or-nothing. This page explains exactly what each tier checks, what it unlocks, and what happens if a step-up is declined.
Version 2026-09-15. Changes to this page are versioned; the product links here rather than restating any of it.
The short version
A quick Tier 1 identity check — an ID document, a liveness check and a face match — gets you trading immediately, usually within a few minutes. Higher tiers raise your 30-day trading limit as you need them; nothing is asked of you before you actually need it.
Tiers are taken one at a time, in order. Tier 2 does not repeat Tier 1’s checks, and a business account verifies its director personally first, then the company itself, through the same tiered process.

Verify once, unlock as you go
A quick Tier 1 check unlocks supported financial features immediately. Stepping up to Tier 2 or Tier 3 raises your 30-day limit — it never lowers what you already hold, even if a step-up is later declined. A business account verifies its director personally first, then the company itself, through the same tiered process.
What stepping up does — and does not do
Starting a step-up never takes away the tier you already hold. If you hold Tier 1, you keep trading at Tier 1’s limit while a Tier 2 check is in progress, and you keep it if that check is declined — only a passed check raises your limit.
Tier 3 removes the 30-day limit entirely, so it carries one extra step: our team reviews the submission before the tier is granted, usually within a business day.
How funds are protected
Worth knowing before you deposit
Customer funds are held in segregated accounts, and every withdrawal requires a second factor. You can also restrict withdrawals to an allowlist of your own addresses and bank accounts.
Digital assets are volatile and their value can fall as well as rise. Nothing on this site is investment advice.
